[L-USA] LUSA name

From: Daniel Servatius (elf@pclink.com) | Date: 1999-03-15 20:12:17 UTC-06:00
To All:

I just want to say that LUSA does not have to be limited in scope
to the United States. We can serve Canada, Equador and Mozambique
if we need to. I know that some of you have expressed concerns
about the limits of the name LUSA. This is an appropriate time
to discuss this since the logo is now being considered.

Really, here's how we could work with other places. If you put a
box in say, Saskatoon or somewhere in the far east just let me
know at that time. I'll figure out what to do with it, and I may
need help from people who know about maps and such to help me as
there is a deplorable lack of Web-usable map information available
outside of U.S. borders.

I guess that's it. Did any of you see that commercial that goes,
"Bad Cretit? No problem! Bankruptcy? No problem! Foreclosure?
No problem! We've got you covered."
Well ours might go like this:
"Letterbox in Istanbul? No problem! Letterbox in Laos? No problem!
Letterbox in the Urals? No problem! We've got you covered."

Thanks,
Dan'l

I'm vacationing in Provence this summer, and my husband is going to Greenland.

I plan to leave boxes in both places. Could these boxes be mapped? Or if not mapped, could they be listed somewhere on the L-USA page?

Linda

I'll do what I can. I think we can map anyplace some way or other.
Question: How will you check on those letterboxes? Do you frequent
those locales?

Nope, I'm going to love em and leave em. Probably no one will ever find the one in Greenland -- except maybe future explorers in the year 3000. Then it'll be like a time capsule. Maybe I should include some relics of 1999--any suggestions on what to include?

Linda

PS Maybe checking on letterboxes is a good reason to make yearly trips to Provence?!? Great idea!
